A Driving Force at BAE Ventures

As Head of Aviation & Airports, he brings a wealth of experience, offering strategic guidance and insights that are invaluable to both our team and our partners. His foresight has been instrumental in identifying emerging trends and opportunities in tourism, helping BAE Ventures stay ahead of the curve.
To better understand his vision, we asked Mr. Eccles: "As a key figure in BAE Ventures, how do you envision the future of tourism and aviation intertwining, and what role do you see BAE Ventures playing in this evolving landscape?"

Gavin Eccles Responds
Working with BAE Ventures will allow me to apply many years of operational experience as we look to build a strong ecosystem that brings airlines and airports closer.  In particular, to have the opportunity to support corporate innovation programmes that allow both global and local businesses to strive in their journey for sustainable success; as well as have the opportunity to put the best start-up’s closer to the industry, and, ensure they develop leading programmes and solutions that drive corporate success.
Aviation and airports need to get closer in how they manage and work together to enhance the passenger journey.  How to ensure we build strong alignment between the arrival and departure of the trip is key, and, that the passenger of the airline and the consumer of the airport – in essence the same person – feel that they have been looked after, and, offered a level of service that allows for seamless integration between the travel providers, is key.
The role of BAE Ventures is to bring this reality to life by supporting corporates and start-up’s to come together to face such challenges, and, for BAE to the catalyst for such support and change.

Looking Ahead
As we continue to navigate the ever-evolving landscape of tourism, Gavin Eccles's influence within BAE Ventures and the wider industry is a source of inspiration and confidence. His commitment to innovation, sustainability, and education is a guiding light, leading us towards a more vibrant and resilient future in aviation and airports.
